liver & Gall
Pitta’s two principal organs, the liver and gallbladder, are where two subtypes of Pitta called Pachaka and Ranjaka, which are crucial for blood production and digestion, reside. The liver produces bile fluids and enzymes to break down fats and fat-soluble vitamins. Poor digestion and little rest cause the buildup of ama (toxins), which weakens the Pittic fires and causes problems with the liver. Other factors that raise the risk factor include drinking tainted water and using alcohol. Genetic predisposition to liver issues can occasionally play a role.
